What is 41B Veterans Treatment Court?
41B Veterans Treatment Court is a jail-diversionary specialty court in Clinton Township, Michigan for local Veterans serving probation for non-violent crimes. Our probation program is designed specifically for Veterans and focuses first and foremost on sobriety and a drug-free life. Make no mistake: this program is often considered more difficult than standard probation, but it provides a number of advantages to the Veteran.
You will be part of a group that can relate to the troubles and challenges of the broader Veteran community. You will meet other Veterans and specialists who can help you obtain benefits and access programs designed specifically for those who served. We have assembled a comprehensive team who support and guide our Veterans through the criminal justice system, and give them the tools they need to re-integrate into civilian life to make a positive impact.
Those involved with our organization have forged lasting bonds, true friendships, and a sense of camaraderie that remains long after the probationer completes the program. Many of our graduates return to serve as mentors, compelled to give back and help fellow Vets navigate the system. We also welcome volunteers -Veteran or otherwise- who want to give back to those who served... For Country and Community!

Did You Know?
In 2015, The Community Mental Health Journal released the first published study on Veterans Treatment Court and the results are outstanding. Researchers concluded that veterans participating in Veterans Treatment Court experienced significant improvement with depression, PTS and substance abuse. Participants cite positve life-changes with critical social issues, such as housing, emotional well-being, relationships, and overall function in the civilian world.
The same study found that 89.5% of veterans with PTS who participated in Veterans Treatment Court remained arrest-free during their time in the program. It further concluded that mentoring from fellow veterans was particularly effective: veterans who received mentoring experienced better clinical outcomes and felt more socially connected.
